Institutional “plans,” as static products, are legendary for their utility as paperweights and occupants of valuable shelf space on bookshelves, and little else. An integrated planning process, however – one that is strategic in nature and aligned with the vision, mission and goals of the institution – is dynamic and designed to shift the culture of the institution from one that merely reports to one that measures performance and continually puts in place processes and systems that improve institutional performance.
As part of our service to clients, we seek to thoroughly understand the linkages among vision, mission and goals, and help clients to align performance measurement and improvement processes to achieve and sustain vision, mission and goals. We are particularly sensitive to the needs of institutions that require some form of strategic turnaround – whether it is academic, financial, student centered, or any combination of these.
Planning Services
Our services include the following:
- In conjunction with the board, president and other institutional stakeholders, a comprehensive review of vision, mission and goals to determine the appropriate fit with the current and anticipated future circumstances of the institution
- Assistance in the process of creation or revision of institutional vision, mission and goals to properly align with the challenges and opportunities facing the institution
- Assistance in the development and launch of integrated planning processes that align with the institution’s new or revised vision, mission and goals and that focus on performance measurement and improvement.
